Shane Pinto had a goal and two assists as the Ottawa Senators defeated the host Seattle Kraken 7-4 on Saturday night.

Michael Amadio added a goal and an assist, and Tyler Kleven, Dylan Cozens, Warren Foegele, Tim Stutzle and Brady Tkachuk also scored. Nick Cousins and Thomas Chabot had two assists for the Senators, who extended their point streak to six games (4-0-2) and improved to 3-0-1 on their five-game trip that concludes Monday in Vancouver.

Goaltender Linus Ullmark made 17 saves for Ottawa.

Jacob Melanson, Eeli Tolvanen, Matty Beniers and Brandon Montour scored and Jordan Eberle had two assists for short-handed Seattle, which dropped to 2-2-0 on its six-game homestand. Joey Daccord stopped 29 of 36 shots.

The Kraken’s fourth line opened the scoring on a 3-on-2 rush at 8:45 of the first period. Ullmark stopped Ben Meyers’ initial shot but was knocked on his back by Senators defenseman Jordan Spence. Melanson lifted the rebound over the goalie.

The Senators scored the next four goals.

Kleven tallied at 9:19 on a one-timer from the slot, and Cozens on a wrister from the right faceoff dot at 13:55 to make it 2-1 after the first period.

The Senators extended their lead at 1:34 of the second as Daccord made a blocker save but the rebound deflected off Pinto’s body and into the net.

A wide-open Amadio took a pass from behind the net in the low slot and beat Daccord at 10:09 to make it 4-1.

The Kraken pulled within 4-2 at 15:00 as Tolvanen’s blast from the top of the right faceoff circle beat a screened Ullmark.

The Senators scored three times in a span of 4:42 early in the third to pull away.

Foegele, making his Ottawa debut after being acquired Thursday from Los Angeles, scored from the high slot at 2:42. Stutzle extended his point streak to 12 games with a wrister from the left faceoff circle at 3:58, and Tkachuk scored from nearly the same spot at 7:24.

Beniers tallied on a tip-in at 10:16, and Montour scored with a two-man advantage at 17:45.

There was a scary moment in the final minute of the first period as Tolvanen checked Cousins in front of the Kraken bench. As Cousins lost his balance, his right leg came up and his skate blade clipped Seattle’s Jaden Schwartz in the face, drawing blood. Schwartz was attended to by trainers on the ice, was helped off and went straight to the locker room. Schwartz didn’t return.

The Kraken were also without forward Frederick Gaudreau and defenseman Ryan Lindgren, both scratched with an illness sweeping through the locker room.
