Artemi Panarin scored the go-ahead goal with 5:37 remaining to highlight a four-goal third period for the New York Rangers, who rallied to beat the host Anaheim Ducks 5-2 on Sunday night.

Chris Kreider had a goal and two assists and Vincent Trocheck, Will Cuylle and Jimmy Vesey also scored for New York, which snapped a five-game road losing streak.

Igor Shesterkin made 16 saves as the Rangers moved four points ahead of the second-place Philadelphia Flyers in the Metropolitan Division.

Adam Henrique scored two goals and Troy Terry and Leo Carlsson each had a pair of assists for Anaheim, which lost its sixth straight home game. Lukas Dostal finished with 28 saves.

Anaheim appeared to take a 3-1 lead early in the third period when Mason McTavish put in a rebound of a Frank Vatrano shot. But New York successfully challenged that the play was offside.

New York tied things at 2 with 9:50 left in the third when Cuylle, stationed in front of the net, deflected Jacob Trouba’s point shot inside the right post for his eighth goal of the season.

Panarin then put the Rangers in front while on the power play, one-timing an Adam Fox pass from the bottom of the left circle for his 28th goal.

Kreider made it 4-2 with 3:53 left when he knocked in his own rebound for his 22nd goal. Vesey finished the scoring with an empty-netter with 36 seconds left.

Anaheim, playing the second game of a back-to-back that began with a 5-3 loss at San Jose on Saturday night, took just 51 seconds to jump out to a 1-0 lead, as Henrique roofed a backhanded shot into the top right corner of the net.

The Ducks made it 2-0 at the 15:37 mark of the first when Henrique chipped in a rebound of a Terry shot for his fourth goal in the past four games. It was also his 14th marker of the season.

The Rangers finally broke through with 2:02 left in the second period thanks to a power-play goal by Trocheck, who took a pass from Kreider while cutting in front of the net.
