The New York Rangers acquired forward Anton Blidh and defenseman Wyatt Kalynuk in separate trades Friday.
The Rangers got Blidh from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for forward Gustav Rydahl.
New York got Kalynuk from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for future considerations.
Blidh, 27, was scoreless in 14 games this season with Colorado. He totaled 12 points (four goals, eight assists) in 70 games in six seasons with the Boston Bruins before joining the Avalanche.
Kalynuk, 25, had four goals and five assists in 26 games with the Chicago Blackhawks during the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons. He has spent this season with the AHL’s Abbotsford Canucks, tallying 17 points in 46 games.
Rydahl, 28, has yet to make his NHL debut. He has recorded 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) in 40 games this season with the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack.
