Filip Forsberg had a goal and two assists for the visiting Nashville Predators in a 6-1 win against the Anaheim Ducks on Friday.
Colton Sissons had a goal and an assist and Juuso Parssinen had two assists for the Predators, who snapped a two-game skid and are 3-1-1 in their past five games after a six-game losing streak (0-4-2). Juuse Saros made 26 saves.
Sam Carrick scored and John Gibson made 37 saves for the Ducks, who have lost four of their past five (1-3-1).
Sissons opened the scoring at 8:06 of the first period. Forsberg intercepted Anaheim defenseman Urho Vaakanainen’s rim around the boards at the left wall and quickly fed Sissons, who snapped it top shelf on the far side from the left circle to give the Predators a 1-0 lead.
Carrick deflected Vaakanainen’s point shot from in front to tie it 1-1 at 2:20 of the second period.
Yakov Trenin put the Predators ahead 2-1 at 9:04. After collecting a loose puck off a faceoff in the left circle for a shot that was stopped by Gibson, Trenin scooted to the inner hashmark of the right circle to pick up the rebound and backhand it in far side.
Forsberg, playing his 600th NHL game, pushed it to 3-1 at 13:20. Gibson made the save on a Sissons shot from the left circle but the rebound popped out to the other side, where Parssinen got a piece of it before Forsberg pushed home the bouncing puck.
Cole Smith sent a backhand feed from behind the net to Thomas Novak wide open in the slot to extend it to 4-1 at 10:44 of the third period.
Roman Josi scored on a point shot through traffic on the power play to make it 5-1 at 15:43 and Nino Niederreiter made it 6-1 from in front with 13 seconds left.
