Lian Bichsel scored twice, including the eventual game-winner, as the visiting Dallas Stars extended their win streak to a franchise-record nine games with a 6-1 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Monday night.

Colin Blackwell, Matt Duchene and Jason Robertson each added a goal and an assist for the Stars, whose best previous winning streak was eight games in the 2023-24 season.

Adam Erne had the other goal as Dallas picked up at least a point for a seventh time in its past eight games against the Canucks (6-1-1). Dallas’ Miro Heiskanen and Sam Steel recorded two helpers each, and Jake Oettinger made 13 saves.

Evander Kane scored the lone goal and Nikita Tolopilo stopped 31 shots for the Canucks, who have lost six in a row (0-4-2) and have just two wins over their past 22 games (2-16-4).

Blue Jackets 5, Rangers 4 (OT)

Kiril Marchenko scored his second goal of the game on a 2-on-1 just 64 seconds into overtime as visiting Columbus pulled off a victory over New York after blowing a four-goal lead in the third period.

The win ended Columbus’ first losing streak under new coach Rick Bowness. Marchenko scored a power-play goal in the first period and also set up a goal by Adam Fantilli before the Blue Jackets allowed four goals in the third. Sean Monahan and Mathieu Olivier also scored, Charlie Coyle contributed two assists and Elvis Merzlikins made 29 saves.

Vladislav Gavrikov and rookie Gabe Perreault scored 24 seconds apart in the opening minute of the third for the Rangers. Will Borgen scored at 12:52 and Gabe Perreault netted the tying goal with 4:46 left in regulation. Igor Shesterkin stopped 23 shots as New York fell to 3-11-3 in its past 17 games.

Kraken 2, Hurricanes 1

Joey Daccord made 35 saves as Seattle defeated visiting Carolina, ending the Eastern Conference-leading Hurricanes’ 12-game point streak (10-0-2).

Kaapo Kakko and Ben Meyers scored and Adam Larsson had two assists for Seattle, which improved to 2-0-0 on a six-game homestand. Defenseman Jamie Oleksiak set a career high with 11 hits, and he blocked three shots.

Nikolaj Ehlers scored for Carolina, which had a five-game winning streak snapped. Frederik Andersen stopped 13 of 15 shots as the Hurricanes opened a four-game Western swing.

Red Wings 4, Predators 2

Defenseman Albert Johansson broke a tie with a short-handed goal late in the second period and Detroit held on for a win over host Nashville.

Lucas Raymond and Alex DeBrincat had a goal and an assist apiece and Emmitt Finnie also scored for the Red Wings, who have won two of their last three. John Gibson made 10 saves on 11 shots before leaving the game after the first period because of an upper-body injury. He was replaced by Cam Talbot, who stopped 18 of 19 shots.

Filip Forsberg and Jonathan Marchessault got the goals for the Predators, who are 1-2-2 in their last five. Juuse Saros made 27 saves.

Flyers 3, Maple Leafs 2 (SO)

Trevor Zegras scored the decisive goal of a shootout as visiting Philadelphia defeated Toronto.

Philadelphia finished 2-for-2 in the shootout, as Matvei Michkov also succeeded. Toronto went 1-for-3, getting a goal from William Nylander before Flyers goalie Dan Vladar turned aside efforts by Auston Matthews and Max Domi. Nylander’s goal late in the third period tied the game shortly after Noah Cates gave Philadelphia the lead. Christian Dvorak also scored for the Flyers, who have won three in a row.

Dakota Joshua tallied for the Maple Leafs, who are 0-3-1 since the Olympic break. Anthony Stolarz made 23 saves.

Avalanche 4, Kings 2

Martin Necas and Gabriel Landeskog each had a goal and two assists as visiting Colorado earned a win against short-handed Los Angeles.

Nathan MacKinnon had a goal and an assist, setting up Devon Toews for the tiebreaking goal with 4:55 left. Mackenzie Blackwood made 19 saves for the Avalanche, who have won four of the past five to maintain the best record in the NHL.

Angus Booth scored in his first NHL game, Brandt Clarke also tallied and Anton Forsberg made 35 saves for the Kings, who spoiled the debut of interim coach D.J. Smith by losing for the sixth time in their past seven games (1-5-1).
