Brad Marchand scored a natural hat trick in the third period as the Boston Bruins came from behind to defeat the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets 3-1 on Sunday night.

The Bruins captain erased his team’s 1-0 deficit after two periods by himself, netting three straight goals — including two on power plays — across a span of 5:50. Four of Marchand’s 11 goals this season have come over the past two games following an eight-game goal-scoring drought. The hat trick was the sixth of his career.

Charlie McAvoy assisted on each of Marchand’s last two goals in his 400th career NHL game. Jeremy Swayman made 24 saves for the Bruins, who have won three straight games since losing on Monday in Columbus.

Boone Jenner scored the Blue Jackets’ lone goal, and Spencer Martin stopped 25 shots as Columbus took its third loss in five games.

Rangers 6, Sharks 5

Artemi Panarin recorded his fifth career hat trick and collected a season-high four points as host New York held on for a wild victory over San Jose.

Panarin scored New York’s first two goals and then got the hat trick 4:41 into the third to give the Rangers a 5-3 lead. He capped his big night by setting up K’Andre Miller’s tally that made it 6-3. It was Panarin’s 19th career four-point game and 12th with the Rangers.

Anthony Duclair, Ryan Carpenter and Jacob MacDonald scored the Sharks’ first three goals. Fabian Zetterlund and Alexander Barabanov tallied 72 seconds apart in the third when the Sharks made it a one-goal contest with about four minutes left.

Wild 4, Blackhawks 1

Marco Rossi scored a pair of goals and Minnesota pulled away for a win over Chicago in Saint Paul, Minn.

Mats Zuccarello added a goal and two assists for the Wild, who improved to 3-0 since the team dismissed coach Dean Evason and replaced him with John Hynes. Taylor Raddysh scored the lone goal for Chicago, which lost its third game in a row.

Wild goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 28 of 29 shots to earn the win. It marked the 548th victory of his career, moving him within three victories of matching Patrick Roy for second place on the all-time list.

Predators 2, Sabres 1

Juuse Saros made 34 saves and visiting Nashville defeated Buffalo.

Filip Forsberg and Yakov Trenin scored for the Predators, who had lost two straight games after winning six in a row. Saros made 12 saves in the third period as Nashville protected its 2-1 lead.

Victor Olofsson scored for the Sabres, who have lost three straight games to match their longest losing streak of the season. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 27 saves. Olofsson’s goal came on a penalty shot.

Kings 4, Avalanche 1

Quinton Byfield scored two goals for Los Angeles, which beat visiting Colorado.

Trevor Moore and Drew Doughty also scored, Adrian Kempe had two assists and Cam Talbot made 20 saves for the Kings, who have won six of their past seven games.

Josh Manson scored and Alexandar Georgiev made 34 saves for the Avalanche, who have lost three games in a row (0-1-2) and were playing without star defenseman Cale Makar, who sat out with a lower-body injury.
