The Toronto Maple Leafs signed winger Max Domi to a one-year contract worth $3 million on Monday and also added free agent center Dylan Gambrell on a one-year minimum deal.
The Leafs will be Domi’s seventh team in 2023-24, his ninth season in the league. Domi split time between Chicago and Dallas last season, posting 56 points (20 goals, 36 assists) and 82 penalty minutes in 80 games overall.
The Blackhawks traded Domi to the Stars on March 2.
Domi, 28, has tallied 370 points (121 goals, 249 assists) in 581 games. He debuted with Arizona in 2015 after being selected No. 12 overall by the Coyotes in 2013.
His father, Tie Domi, played parts of 12 seasons as an enforcer with the Maple Leafs and is the franchise’s all-time leader with 2,265 penalty minutes.

The Leafs announced the signing of Gambrell to a one-year contract worth $775,000.
Gambrell, 26, played the last two seasons in Ottawa. He has 40 points (17 goals, 23 assists) and a 44.9 faceoff win percentage in six seasons with the San Jose Sharks and Senators. The Sharks selected him in the second round of the 2016 draft.
The signings come on the heels of the weekend additions of Ryan Reaves, Tyler Bertuzzi and John Klingberg. The Leafs also re-signed David Kampf last week.
