The Utah Mammoth’s Logan Cooley scored a pair of goals, including the game winner in overtime for a 5-4 victory over the host Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday.

Alexander Kerfoot and Michael Carcone each tallied a goal and an assist for the Mammoth, who improved to 3-0-0 on their five-game road trip.

Dylan Guenther also scored, while Clayton Keller tacked on a pair of assists for Utah.

Adam Fantilli, Mason Marchment, Damon Severson and Mathieu Olivier all finished with a goal and an assist for the Blue Jackets, who saw their three-game winning streak halted.

Karel Vejmelka made 27 saves for the Mammoth, while Elvis Merzlikins tallied 18 stops at the other end.

Keller turned toward the net and found an open Cooley out front, who made no mistake to give Utah the victory 2:08 into the extra frame.

Carcone provided an early lead for the Mammoth when he sent a wrist shot flying past the glove of Merzlikins 7:25 into the contest.

Cooley had a golden opportunity to double up the Mammoth’s advantage, but Merzlikins slid across his crease to make the highlight-reel stop with 9:37remaining in the opening period.

Severson knotted up the game with 35 seconds remaining in the first as his point shot snuck past Vejmelka.

Kent Johnson was thought to have given the Blue Jackets the lead just under eight minutes into the middle frame, but it was overturned after Utah successfully challenged it for offside.

Guenther finished off some slick passing with Keller on a 2-on-0 breakaway to give the Mammoth the 2-1 advantage with 7:48 remaining in the second period.

Olivier tallied his third goal over the past two outings to draw the game even with 3:57 left in the second.

Kerfoot gave the Mammoth the 3-2 lead exactly three minutes into the third period as his shot banked off a Blue Jackets’ defenseman’s leg and into the net.

Cooley extended the lead to 4-2 at the 4:54 mark as he stormed in on a breakaway and took it to the backhand before lifting it over Merzlikins’ outstretched pad.

Fantilli made it a one-goal game with 6:22 remaining in the third as he snuck a quick backhand shot off of Vejmelka’s pad and across the goal line.

Marchment then tied the game 30 seconds later as he went to the top shelf with his backhanded deke with 5:52 left in regulation.
