Leon Draisaitl scored two goals and Mattias Janmark had a goal and an assist to lead the Edmonton Oilers to a 4-3 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday night in Las Vegas.

It was the 50th two-goal game of Draisaitl’s career.

Klim Kostin scored, Zach Hyman had two assists and Jack Campbell finished with 27 saves for the Oilers, who won their third straight game and closed to within seven points of the Pacific Division-leading Golden Knights.

Paul Cotter, Keegan Kolesar and William Karlsson scored goals and Logan Thompson made 33 saves for Vegas. The Golden Knights fell to 5-7-2 against Pacific Division foes this season, including six consecutive losses.

Edmonton, playing the second game of a back-to-back that began with a 7-1 victory at San Jose on Friday, needed just 1:42 to take a 2-0 lead.

Janmark opened the scoring 45 seconds in. He took a stretch pass from Tyson Barrie and split Vegas defensemen Alec Martinez and Ben Hutton down the slot before firing a wrist shot over Thompson’s right shoulder for his fourth goal of the season.

Draisaitl followed 57 seconds later when he batted in a rebound of a Connor McDavid shot.

Vegas cut it to 2-1 at the 18:46 mark of the first when Kolesar backhanded a shot from behind the net that bounced in off Campbell for his fifth goal of the season.

Edmonton extended the lead to 3-1 at the 7:22 mark of the second period. Draisaitl finished a two-on-one with Darnell Nurse with a wrist shot from the right circle under Thompson’s right pad for his 26th goal of the season.

Cotter made it 3-2 when he backhanded in a rebound of a Byron Froese shot that bounced off the right post for his sixth goal of the season.

Kostin followed with his ninth goal of the season just 18 seconds later, which proved to be the game-winner when he finished another odd-man rush with a wrist shot off the far left post that went in.

Vegas closed to 4-3 with 42 seconds left in the period when Karlsson one-timed a Jonathan Marchessault pass for his ninth goal of the season.
