Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander will be a game-time decision for Game 2 on Monday night in Boston with an undisclosed injury.

“We’ll see how he feels here the rest of the day here and make a decision,” coach Sheldon Keefe told reporters after Monday’s morning skate.

Nylander missed Game 1 on Saturday as the Bruins rolled to a 5-1 victory to open the Eastern Conference first-round series. Game 3 will be in Toronto on Wednesday night.

Nylander, 27, set a career high with 98 points (40 goals, career-high 58 assists) and played all 82 games during the 2023-24 regular season. However, he did not score a goal in his final 11 games of the season.

Drafted No. 8 overall by Toronto in 2014, Nylander has recorded 528 points (217 goals, 311 assists) in 603 games in the regular season. He has 40 points (17 goals, 23 assists) in 50 games in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
