Martin Jones made 27 saves and the Seattle Kraken scored one goal in each period on the way to a 3-0 win over the host Boston Bruins on Thursday night.

Brandon Tanev, Eeli Tolvanen and Jaden Schwartz all marked the scoresheet for Seattle, which is 7-0-0 so far in 2023 and has won six straight road games for the second time this season.

Boston, which was previously 19-0-3 at home, suffered its first regulation home loss and its first shutout. The Bruins also had a 14-game point streak halted.

Jones logged 10 of his stops in the second period. The shutout was his third this season.

Linus Ullmark lost for just the second time, making 28 saves.

Seattle scored first in a road game for the 14th time this season and held a 14-8 shot advantage through the first period.

The Kraken took a lead at 7:14. Tanev made a great tip on Daniel Sprong’s shot from a tight angle near the right wall, beating Ullmark past his short-side post.

Jones kept his shutout bid going, stopping David Pastrnak — who went scoreless after logging multiple goals in the previous three games — on a breakaway 6:10 into the second period. Just prior, Pavel Zacha missed the net on a give-and-go.

Ullmark was the reason why Boston’s deficit remained only 1-0 after two frames. Just about a minute after Pastrnak was stopped, the Bruins goalie denied Tanev on a break-in at the other end.

Tolvanen doubled the Seattle edge with 38 seconds left in the second. After a deflected puck landed right on his stick in the slot, the Kraken newcomer spun around and snapped a shot under the crossbar.

Tolvanen has a 4-2-6 line in seven games since making his Kraken debut on Jan. 1. He began the season with Nashville.

Bruins coach Jim Montgomery was aggressive in pulling Ullmark in favor of an extra skater with five minutes left in regulation, but none of five shot attempts during more than a minute of continuous zone time found their way past Jones.

Schwartz dribbled a long empty-net goal with 1:50 left to make it 3-0 Seattle.

Center Joona Koppanen made his NHL debut for the Bruins after being recalled from AHL Providence on Wednesday.
