Jaden Schwartz and Yanni Gourde each had a goal and an assist as the Seattle Kraken defeated the Carolina Hurricanes 4-2 Tuesday night in Raleigh, N.C.

Eeli Tolvanen and Brandon Tanev also scored and Matty Beniers added two assists for the Kraken, who snapped a three-game losing streak. Goaltender Joey Daccord made 17 saves.

Martin Necas had a goal and an assist and Eric Robinson also tallied for the Hurricanes, who lost their third in a row. Pyotr Kochetkov, who returned after missing the previous four games with a concussion, stopped 24 of 28 shots.

Gourde scored the go-ahead goal at 10:48 of the third period, taking a pass from Schwartz and batting the puck past Kochetkov and just inside the left post from the top of the crease.

Tanev scored on a breakaway at 15:03 to help clinch the victory.

The Hurricanes tied the score at 2-2 on the power play at 5:43 of the third. Sebastian Aho fed Necas streaking down the right wing and he cut toward the net and slid the puck between Daccord’s pads.

Carolina appeared to take the lead at 10:02 as Jack Drury took a pass from Necas and lifted a sharp-angled shot from the left wing over Daccord’s shoulder. The Kraken challenged the play for goaltender interference, and a video review determined Robinson had bumped into Daccord at the top of the crease and the goal was disallowed.

The Kraken opened the scoring just 19 seconds into the game thanks to their new second line of Gourde, Beniers and Schwartz. Beniers forced a turnover in his own end of the rink and passed to Gourde exiting the Kraken’s own zone. Gourde hit Schwartz with a lead pass and he split two defenders just after crossing the blue line and beat Kochetkov before sliding into the end boards.

The Hurricanes tied it at 4:56 of the period as Necas picked off an errant pass in the Seattle end and fed a wide-open Robinson in front of the net. Robinson slid the puck just inside the left post.

Seattle regained its lead at 5:56 of the second as Tolvanen scored on a rebound after Kochetkov stopped Oliver Bjorkstrand’s initial shot.
