The Los Angeles Kings placed forward Arthur Kaliyev on injured reserve Tuesday amid four roster moves.

The Kings recalled forwards Quenton Byfield and Rasmus Kupari, while also bringing back defenseman Jordan Spence. All three were at Ontario of the AHL.

Kaliyev’s IR move is retroactive to Dec. 20. He has an undisclosed injury but did block a shot late in a Dec. 20 game against the Anaheim Ducks and did not play in the following two games against the Calgary Flames and Arizona Coyotes.

Kaliyev, 21, has 19 points (nine goals, 10 assists) in 34 games this season. In November, during his 98th career game, he became just the sixth Kings player in 25 years with 20 goals in 100 NHL games or less.

Byfield, 20, opened the season on the Kings’ roster but had just three points in eight games. Kupari, 22, has five points (two goals) in 21 games with the Kings this season. Spence, 21, played in just three games with the Kings this season and has 27 games of NHL experience over the past two seasons.

The Kings have points in five-consecutive games (4-0-1) but are coming off a 2-1 shootout defeat at Arizona on Friday.
