Tomas Hertl scored the game-winning goal on the power play with 1:10 remaining as the visiting Vegas Golden Knights overcame a pair of two-goal deficits to beat the Boston Bruins 4-3 on Saturday afternoon.

Hertl netted a turnaround wrister from the left circle past Boston’s Jeremy Swayman to win the game. Earlier on the same Golden Knights man advantage, Pavel Dorofeyev had a potential go-ahead goal overturned due to interference on Swayman.

Mark Stone, Zach Whitecloud and Dorofeyev also scored and Shea Theodore had two assists for Vegas, which went 2-for-4 on the power play en route to its second straight win to enter the 4 Nations Face-Off break.

Ilya Samsonov made 21 saves for the Golden Knights.

Boston captain Brad Marchand reached the 20-goal plateau for the 14th time in his career, while Nikita Zadorov and Morgan Geekie also scored for Boston.

David Pastrnak had an assist for the Bruins to extend his points streak to 13 games, matching his career long for points streak within one season.

The Bruins led 2-0 and 3-1, but the Golden Knights finished with a 38-24 advantage in shots.

Swayman made 34 saves.

Whitecloud made it 3-2 at 19:26 of the middle frame. He took Noah Hanifin’s low-to-high pass and scored on a point shot that Swayman looked to glove, but it slipped loose in the crease and in the net.

Dorofeyev knotted the score 3-3 at 4:54 of the third period, burying at the end of a pretty passing sequence with Massachusetts native Jack Eichel and Theodore.

Samsonov kept the score ties with a 2-on-1 stop on Zacha and Pastrnak with 7:05 to play.

Marchand got the Bruins out in front 3:17 into the first, receiving Zadorov’s perfect pass from the left half-wall and slamming the puck into an open side of the net while stationed at the far post.

Minutes after Marchand’s goal, Samsonov made a cross-crease save to deny Geekie on a 2-on-1 rush. Boston doubled its lead at the end of another flurry at 13:49, as Zadorov ripped a slapper from the left circle after Charlie Coyle’s shot started the net-front scramble.

The visitors halved their deficit when Stone redirected Theodore’s point shot for a power-play goal with 4:51 left before the first intermission.

Swayman made key glove saves on Dorofeyev and Tomas Hertl on consecutive shifts past the halfway mark of the second period, and Geekie made it 3-1 at 15:07. Pastrnak picked up Samsonov’s misplayed puck and fed his linemate for a wrister from the left circle.

Vegas forward Victor Olofsson did not return with an upper-body injury following the first shift of the game.
