Samuel Ersson made 28 saves to win his third straight start as the visiting Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Anaheim Ducks 4-1 on Monday night.

Travis Konecny and Joel Farabee each had a goal and an assist while Morgan Frost and Scott Laughton also scored goals for Philadelphia, which matched its season-high, three-game winning streak. Kevin Hayes and Noah Cates both added two assists.

Ryan Strome spoiled Ersson’s bid for his first career shutout when he scored on a wrist shot from the high slot with 39.6 seconds remaining. John Gibson made 29 saves for Anaheim, which lost its second straight game and fell for the fifth time in the last six games (1-4-1).

Philadelphia opened the scoring at the 7:42 mark of the first period when Farabee scooped up a loose puck in front of the crease and then spun around and slid a backhand under Gibson’s pads for his seventh goal of the season.

Frost made it 2-0 midway through the period when he fired a long wrist shot from above the left circle that beat Gibson on his blocker side for his eighth goal of the season.

Konecny increased the lead to 3-0 early in the second period with his team-leading 19th goal of the season. Hayes set up the score, pulling Gibson out of the crease by holding onto the puck as two Ducks defenders went down to try to take away the pass. Konecny, only a couple feet in front of the goal line on the left side of the net, then roofed a one-timer to extend his goal streak to four games.

Laughton, coming down the left wing, made it 4-0 at 8:26 of the third period when he took a pass from Hayes and then beat Gibson with a wraparound shot by the right post for his ninth goal of the season.

Strome ended the scoring with his ninth goal of the season.
