Philadelphia Flyers forward Travis Konecny has been ruled out of Tuesday’s road game against the Edmonton Oilers due to an upper-body injury, the team announced.
Per the Flyers, Konecny will be assessed by the medical staff when the team returns to Philadelphia. Tuesday’s contest concludes a four-game road trip for the Flyers.
Konecny sustained the injury during Philadelphia’s 4-3 victory over the Calgary Flames on Monday. He collected a goal and an assist before exiting the contest after being shoved into the boards from behind by Calgary defenseman MacKenzie Weegar in the second period.
Konecny, 25, sports team-leading totals in goals (27) and points (54) this season. His goal total serves as a career high.
Konecny has 325 points (137 goals, 188 assists) in 480 career games since being selected by the Flyers with the 24th overall pick of the 2015 NHL Draft.
