Kirill Kaprizov had a goal and an assist, and the Minnesota Wild pulled away for a 4-1 win over the Calgary Flames on Thursday night in Saint Paul, Minn.

Danila Yurov, Vincent Hinostroza and Matt Bodly had one goal apiece for Minnesota, which won its second game in a row. Quinn Hughes was among eight players to tally one assist apiece.

Morgan Frost scored the lone goal for Calgary, whose winless streak reached five games.

Wild goaltender Filip Gustavsson stopped 29 of 30 shots for the victory.

Flames goaltender Devin Cooley allowed three goals on 23 shots.

The Wild opened the scoring 2:43 after the opening faceoff. Yurov skated in from the left circle, received a pass from Vladimir Tarasenko and tapped a one-timer into the net for his eighth goal.

Minnesota increased its lead to 2-0 with 9:23 remaining in the first period. Jake Middleton fired a long pass to Hinostroza, who controlled the puck and scored on a mini-breakaway for his third goal of the season and his first since Nov 7 against the New York Islanders.

Calgary cut the deficit to 2-1 with 14:11 to go in the third period. Frost carried the puck into the offensive zone, kept it for a shot, and scored on a wrister past Gustavsson’s glove side.

Minnesota increased its lead to 3-1 with 2:43 remaining in the third period. Boldy redirected a shot from the slot off a pass from Kirill Kaprizov for his 29th goal.

Kaprizov tied Boldy for the team lead with his 29th goal to make it 4-1 with 2:15 remaining. He buried an empty-net goal as the Flames removed their goaltender for an extra skater.

The Wild will go on the road for their next game against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night.

Calgary will return home to welcome the San Jose Sharks on Saturday afternoon.
