Robert Thomas scored twice to lead the St. Louis Blues past the visiting Anaheim Ducks 6-2 Thursday night.

Pavel Buchnevich and Jordan Kyrou each had a goal and an assist for the Blues, who have scored 37 goals in their last eight games.

Dylan Holloway and Tyler Tucker also scored for St. Louis, Brayden Schenn had two assists, and Joel Hofer made 21 saves.

Nikita Nesterenko and Sam Colangelo scored for the Ducks, who got off to a tough start to their six-game road trip.

Lukas Dostal allowed six goals on 22 shots for Anaheim before giving way to John Gibson, who stopped all 12 shots he faced.

The Blues raced to a 4-0 lead in the first 14 minutes of the game. Thomas scored 2:45 into the first period after pouncing on a turnover directly in front of the Anaheim net.

Less than two minutes later, Tucker scored on a slap shot from the right point off Oskar Sundqvist’s pass from the left corner.

Kyrou made it 3-0 at the 6:40 mark by driving to the right post and converting the rebound of Cam Fowler’s backhand shot.

Holloway scored from the slot to increase the Blues’ lead to 4-0. Kyrou set it up with a centering pass.

Nesterenko put the Ducks on the scoreboard with left minutes left in the first period. Jackson LaCombe fired a shot from above the left circle, and Nesterenko deflected it past Hofer.

Thomas pushed the Blues’ lead to 5-1 at 4:45 of the second period. He broke down the middle, backhanded a shot on goal, then chipped in his backhand follow shot.

Buchnevich made it 6-1 by cutting to the front of the net and reaching a shot around Dostal.

Colangelo cut the deficit to 6-2 with 5:22 left in the second period by scoring from the left wing off Ryan Strome’s cross-ice pass.
