Dylan Guenther scored the overtime winner as the Utah Hockey Club edged the host Columbus Blue Jackets 3-2 on Thursday night.

Guenther put home his own rebound, on a partial breakaway, for his team-leading 19th goal of the season at 4:27 of the extra period. It’s the second overtime winner in as many games for Guenther, who scored the clinching goal in a 3-2 win against the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday.

Lawson Crouse and Olli Maatta scored in regulation for Utah, which has won back-to-back games after snapping a five-game skid.

Connor Ingram made 20 saves for the win.

Justin Danforth and Ivan Provorov had the goals for the Blue Jackets, who have dropped three straight.

Elvis Merzlinkins stopped 30 shots.

Columbus opened the scoring 5:51 into the first period as Danforth tipped in a cross-ice feed from Jordan Harris for his fourth goal of the season.

Crouse tied it 1-1 at 2:06 of the second period, one-timing a Josh Doan pass past Merzlikins for his eighth goal.

Maatta gave Utah its first lead, putting his centering pass off the skate and stick of Blue Jackets defenseman Zach Werenski and in for his second of the season at 12:33 of the middle frame.

Provorov made it 2-2 short-handed with 39 seconds remaining in the second, ripping a shot past Ingram glove side for his sixth of the season.

With his assist on the goal, Werenski now holds the Blue Jackets’ single-season record for points by a defenseman (58).

Columbus defenseman Dante Fabbro missed his second game with an upper-body injury.

Thursday was the second and final meeting of the season between Columbus and Utah. The Blue Jackets took a 3-2 overtime win last Friday in Salt Lake City.
