Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee on Thursday and is expected to miss six weeks.

For the 23-year-old Zegras, this is his third significant injury in the last 13 months, after playing just 31 games last season due to a broken ankle and a groin issue. He missed the last three games after injuring his knee Dec. 4 in a 4-1 home loss to the Vegas Golden Knights.

Zegras has 10 points (four goals, six assists) in 24 games this season for the Ducks, who reside in last place in the Pacific Division. Over 235 games in parts of five NHL campaigns, the No. 9 pick of the 2019 draft has 164 points (59 goals, 105 assists).

In 2022, Zegras finished as the runner-up to Detroit Red Wings defenseman Moritz Seider in Calder Trophy voting after posting 61 points (23 goals, 38 assists) in 75 games. Zegras also made the NHL All-Rookie Team that season.
