Auston Matthews had two goals and an assist as the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the visiting Calgary Flames 6-2 on Monday night.

William Nylander added a goal and two assists for the Maple Leafs (40-24-3, 83 points), who won for the second time in seven games (2-4-1).

Toronto’s Max Domi had a goal and an assist, and Nicholas Robertson and Bobby McMann also scored. Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Mitch Marner each added two assists, and Joseph Woll made 24 saves.

Rasmus Andersson and Kevin Bahl scored for the Flames (30-25-11, 71 points), who have lost three straight (0-2-1).

Calgary goalie Dustin Wolf allowed five goals on 26 shots in two periods before Dan Vladar took over in the third and gave up one goal on three shots.

Domi scored at 1:47 of the first period with a shot from the left circle on a rebound from Simon Benoit’s shot.

Calgary had the first power play of the game at 3:44 and had two shots on goal.

The Flames did not get a shot on when they had another power play starting at 9:10 as the Maple Leafs clogged the middle of the zone.

After Wolf foiled Nylander, Calgary scored on an odd-man rush in transition at 19:13 of the first. Jonathan Huberdeau’s deft scoop pass found the onrushing Andersson, who fired home his shot from the slot.

Nylander scored on a one-timer from the left circle after Marner’s one-touch pass during a power play at 1:39 of the second period, putting Toronto up 2-1.

Calgary had a power-play goal disallowed at 2:48 of the second when a video review determined the play was offside.

Robertson scored from the slot on Domi’s smart saucer pass from behind the goal at 9:34 of the middle period.

Matthews then scored a power-play goal on a high shot at 15:41 of the second after Calgary was called for too many men on the ice.

Again on a Toronto power play, Matthews found the net from the left circle at 18:54 of the second with Brayden Pachal off for roughing, increasing the gap to 5-1.

McMann tallied from the right circle at 3:03 of the third period.

Bahl scored at 19:12 of the third on a deflection off a Toronto player.

The Maple Leafs wore white uniforms with green trim, a throwback to when they were the St. Patricks from 1919-1927.
