Tight end Tucker Kraft caught two touchdown passes, including a go-ahead, 66-yard score in the third quarter, and the Green Bay Packers held on for a 24-19 win over the host Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
Jordan Love completed 15 of 26 passes for 224 yards, two touchdowns and one interception for Green Bay (3-2). Josh Jacobs had 19 carries for 73 yards and a score.
Matthew Stafford finished 29-of-45 for 260 yards, one touchdown and one interception for Los Angeles (1-4). Kyren Williams tallied 22 carries for 102 yards and a touchdown, and Demarcus Robinson had a touchdown catch.
Los Angeles moved to the Green Bay 38-yard line on its final drive, but Stafford threw incomplete on fourth-and-5 with 1:05 to go.
The Packers opened the scoring midway through the first quarter. Jacobs rushed for a 2-yard touchdown to finish a 10-play, 96-yard drive.
The Rams also turned to their running game to pull even at 7-7 early in the second quarter. Williams scored on a 1-yard run for his sixth rushing touchdown in five games this season.
A defensive touchdown put the hosts on top 14-7 with 2:02 remaining in the first half.
Linebacker Byron Young pressured Love in the Packers’ end zone, and Love flung a reckless pass to avoid taking a safety. Defensive back Jaylen McCollough intercepted the pass and quickly scored on a pick-six from 4 yards out.
Green Bay pulled within 14-10 as time expired in the first half. Rookie kicker Brayden Narveson converted a 46-yard field goal.
Love and Kraft connected on back-to-back possessions in the third quarter to give the Packers a 24-13 advantage.
Kraft’s 66-yarder came after he caught Love’s pass around midfield and sprinted down the left sideline, evading several defenders to deliver the go-ahead score.
Love found Kraft again after Xavier McKinney intercepted Stafford at the Green Bay 18-yard line and returned it to the Packers’ 46. Kraft hauled in a 7-yard score seven plays later to put Green Bay up 11 with 3:55 left in the third quarter.
The play gave Kraft the first multi-touchdown game of his career. Kraft finished with a team-high 88 receiving yards on four catches.
The Rams trimmed the deficit to 24-19 with 3:30 left. Stafford turned to his right and lobbed a 1-yard touchdown pass to Robinson, capping a 91-yard drive. Los Angeles failed the ensuing two-point conversion attempt.
