Dare Ogunbowale caught a 1-yard scoring pass from C.J. Stroud with 18 seconds left to give the host Houston Texas a 24-20 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon.

Stroud completed 27 of 40 passes for 345 yards and two touchdowns for the Texans (3-1). Nico Collins caught a career-high 12 passes while gaining 151 yards and scoring a touchdown, and Stefon Diggs had five receptions for 69 yards and also rushed for a touchdown for Houston.

Stroud’s 26-yard pass to Collins to the Jacksonville 27-yard line was the key play on the winning excursion. Ogunbowale caught a pass in the right flat for the touchdown to keep his former teammates winless.

Trevor Lawrence was 18-of-33 passing for 169 yards and two touchdowns for the Jaguars (0-4). Brian Thomas Jr. caught six passes for 86 yards and one touchdown, and Christian Kirk had seven receptions for 61 yards and a score for Jacksonville.

Tank Bigsby rushed for 90 yards on seven carries for the Jaguars.

Houston running back Joe Mixon (ankle) missed his second straight game. Jacksonville star edge rusher Josh Hines-Allen sustained a concussion in the third quarter and was later ruled out.

Jacksonville took a 20-17 lead on Lawrence’s 8-yard scoring pass to Kirk with 6:16 left in the third quarter.

Later in the period, Bigsby broke loose on a 58-yard run to the Texans’ 4-yard line. The Jaguars ended up with fourth-and-goal at the 1 and came up empty when Lawrence was stuffed on a quarterback draw by Folorunso Fatukasi on the first play of the fourth quarter.

The Jaguars later forced a Houston punt and took over with 3:51 remaining. But Jacksonville punted it back to Houston to cap a 57- second possession that preceded the Texans’ decisive nine-play, 69-yard drive.

Stroud passed for 215 yards and a touchdown in the first half as the Texans led 17-13.

Jacksonville received a big break when Houston’s Steven Sims muffed a punt and Daniel Thomas recovered at the 2-yard line for the Jaguars. Lawrence hit Brian Thomas Jr. for the score on the ensuing play with 12:44 left in the first quarter.

The Texans tied the score more than five minutes later on a 6-yard run by Diggs. Jacksonville later regained the lead on Cam Little’s 41-yard field goal with 2:41 left in the quarter.

Houston took a 14-10 lead on Stroud’s 3-yard scoring pass to Collins with 7:19 left in the first half. Little connected on a 52-yard field goal with 3:49 left for the Jaguars before Ka’imi Fairbairn of the Texans booted a 30-yard field goal with three seconds left in the half.
