Terrell Owens wasn’t injured when he was hit by a car on Monday in Calabasas, Calif., after an argument, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Owens and another person argued during a pickup basketball game, and Owens subsequently “was struck with a vehicle,” sheriff’s Sgt. Maria Navarro told the Los Angeles Times.
According to a report from TMZ, the car hit Owens on one of his knees. The sheriff’s department confirmed that Owens did not need medical attention.
No arrests were made, and the sheriff’s department was continuing to investigate the incident.
Owens, 49, was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018 after a 15-year NFL career. He was a six-time Pro Bowl receiver and a five-time All-Pro.
A third-round draft pick of the 49ers in 1996, Owens spent eight years in San Francisco. He subsequently played for the Philadelphia Eagles (2004-05), Dallas Cowboys (2006-08), Buffalo Bill (2009) and Cincinnati Bengals (2010).
In 219 career games (201 starts), Owens made 1,078 receptions for 15,934 and 153 touchdowns. He ranks third in NFL history in receiving yards and receiving TDs and eighth in receptions.
Owens made his only Super Bowl appearance with the Eagles after the 2004 season, a loss to the New England Patriots, though he had nine catches for 122 yards.
