Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Tyler Huntley sustained head injuries and have been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday’s game in Pittsburgh.

Pickett exited late in the first quarter and did not return. Mitch Trubisky, who opened the season as the starting quarterback for Pittsburgh, took over at the position with Pickett in concussion protocol.

Rookie Anthony Brown, who hadn’t appeared in a game this season, filled in under center after Huntley exited in the third quarter.

The rookie Pickett was tested for a concussion after being sacked by Roquan Smith on the Steelers’ opening drive, but was cleared to play. He came out for the Steelers’ second offensive stand, but Pittsburgh ended up going three-and-out.

Trubisky took the field for Pittsburgh’s third possession and immediately drove the Steelers 64 yards in five plays, with Najee Harris scoring from 1 yard out to cap the drive.

Prior to exiting, Pickett had attempted only one pass, an incompletion, but carried the ball twice for 16 yards.

Trubisky entered Sunday with 797 passing yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in five games this season.

Huntley departed after taking a hit from Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. On a third-down play, Huntley scrambled out of the pocket and was wrapped up by Montravious Adams before Fitzpatrick swooped in and delivered a blow to Huntley’s upper body.

Huntley completed 8 of 12 passes for 88 yards in addition to rushing nine times for 31 yards before leaving.
