The Seattle Seahawks on Friday reached a deal with No. 5 overall pick Devon Witherspoon, the last of the 259 draftees to sign a contract.
Multiple outlets reported that the 22-year-old cornerback agreed to a four-year, $31.86 million contract that includes a $20.2 million signing bonus.
Witherspoon, who was absent when the Seahawks opened training camp Wednesday in Renton, Wash., is expected to be at practice on Friday.
Witherspoon registered three interceptions, 14 passes defensed and 41 tackles in 12 games during his fourth season at Illinois in 2022.
The Seahawks also signed running back Wayne Taulapapa, an undrafted rookie free agent out of the University of Washington.
Taulapapa rushed for a team-high 887 yards and 11 touchdowns in 13 games last season with the Huskies.
Seattle waived cornerback Montrae Braswell to make room for Taulapapa on the roster.
