New Orleans Saints running back Jamaal Williams was activated from injured reserve and played in the Thursday game against the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars.
Williams, who was listed as questionable leading up to the game, ran five times for 14 yards as the Saints fell 31-24. He had been out since sustaining a hamstring injury late in the first half of a 20-17 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Sept 18.
Selected by Green Bay in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, Williams spent four seasons with the Packers and two with the Detroit Lions. He rushed for 1,066 yards and a career-best and league-high 17 touchdowns in 2022.
Williams, 28, signed a three-year, $12 million deal with the Saints in March. He has rushed 32 times for 88 yards in three games this season.
