Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks sustained a fractured collarbone during practice on Saturday and is expected to miss the start of the upcoming season, NFL Network reported.
Burks was injured while making a diving catch along the sideline from rookie quarterback Cam Ward. Burks immediately grabbed his shoulder and went straight to the locker room after speaking to trainers.
“Treylon Burks is being evaluated right now for a shoulder injury,” Titans coach Brian Callahan said, per the Tennessean. “We’ll have an update on his status at the appropriate time.”
Injuries are nothing new for Burks, who missed a total of 12 games over his first two seasons before sitting out the final 12 games of the 2024 campaign with a torn ACL.
Burks has 53 catches for 699 yards and a touchdown in 27 career games (17 starts) since being selected by Tennessee with the 18th overall pick of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Arkansas. The Titans acquired that pick from Philadelphia after they traded wideout A.J. Brown to the Eagles.
