The Jacksonville Jaguars are signing record-setting Canadian Football League quarterback Nathan Rourke, ESPN reported Sunday.

Rourke, 24, will be expected to compete for the backup job behind Trevor Lawrence this offseason.

The BC Lions star reportedly worked out for at least a dozen NFL teams over the past two months, including the Jaguars’ fellow playoff teams the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati Bengals, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers and New York Giants.

Rourke completed a CFL-record 78.7 percent of his passes for 3,349 yards and 25 touchdown passes in 10 games in 2022. The British Columbia native was named the league’s Most Outstanding Canadian.

Rourke broke the 41-year-old single-game record for Canadian quarterbacks three times, throwing for 436 yards vs. Toronto on June 25, 477 vs. Edmonton on Aug. 6 and 488 vs. Calgary on Aug. 13.

Rourke was undrafted by the NFL in 2021 after passing for 7,457 yards, 60 touchdowns and 20 interceptions in three seasons at Ohio University.
