NFL News: Ravens to start QB Tyler Huntley again vs. Steelers

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was ruled out for a fourth straight game, leaving Tyler Huntley in line to start again when the Ravens host the Pittsburgh Steelers on “Sunday Night Football.”

Jackson, who turns 26 next weekend on Jan. 7, has yet to practice since spraining the posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee when the Ravens beat the Denver Broncos on Dec. 4. The Ravens are 2-1 in Huntley’s past three starts.

Huntley said “it kills” Jackson to not be playing this month, the second straight year he’s missed most of December with an injury.

“He wants to be playing,” Huntley told reporters. “But at the same time, (he’s) just accepting the process and just focusing on getting himself healthy so he can be ready to play when it most matters.”

The Ravens (10-5) have clinched a playoff berth but trail the Cincinnati Bengals by one game in the AFC North, and their Week 18 showdown possibly could determine the division winner. The Steelers (7-8) have an outside chance at making the playoffs, leading to this week’s game between historic AFC North rivals to be flexed into the primetime window.

The league MVP in 2019, Jackson has completed 62.3 percent of his passes this season for 2,242 yards, with 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He’s the team’s leading rusher, running for 764 yards and three scores.
