Los Angeles Rams receiver Davante Adams exited Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions after aggravating a left hamstring injury and he could miss Thursday night’s NFC West showdown with the host Seattle Seahawks.

Adams was injured early in the fourth quarter while running a route and fell to the ground and was attended to by trainers. He limped off the field with 12:36 left and didn’t return.

Rams coach Sean McVay said after the 41-34 victory that Adams’ injury “didn’t look good.” The coach said it didn’t sound likely that Adams could play in Seattle.

“We’ll see. He was optimistic talking to him. He knows his body really well,” McVay said. “I can’t imagine that’s good for Thursday, with just the short amount of time. But I certainly wouldn’t rule him out quite yet. But, it didn’t look good.”

Adams had four receptions for 71 yards before leaving the contest.

For the season, Adams has 60 receptions for 789 yards and a league-high 14 touchdown catches in 14 games.

The six-time Pro selection is in his first season with the Rams, who are his fourth NFL team. He has 1,017 career catches for 12,633 yards and 117 touchdowns in 178 games (171 starts).

The Rams and Seahawks are tied for first in the division with 11-3 records, one game ahead of the San Francisco 49ers.
