The Jacksonville Jaguars signed wide receiver Jakobi Meyers to a long-term extension on Thursday, six weeks after acquiring him from the Las Vegas Raiders in a trade.

The team announced the deal Thursday, but didn’t share details of the contract. Per multiple media reports, Meyers, who was set to be a free agent at season’s end, agreed to a three-year, $60 million deal with $40 million guaranteed.

Meyers has been a major boost to Jacksonville’s receiver room since he was acquired on Nov. 4. He was acquired shortly after first-round pick Travis Hunter Jr. sustained a season-ending knee injury and while 2024 first-round pick Brian Thomas Jr. was battling shoulder and ankle injuries.

In six games with the Jaguars, he has recorded 27 catches for 355 yards and three touchdowns. Jacksonville is 5-1 since acquiring Meyers and has climbed into the AFC South lead. The Jaguars are averaging 31.8 points per game with Meyers in the lineup.

Meyers, who turned 29 days after the trade on Nov. 9, has 453 catches for 5,299 yards and 23 touchdowns over seven NFL seasons with the New England Patriots (2019-22), Raiders (2023-25) and Jaguars.

Jacksonville (10-4), currently the No. 3 seed in the AFC playoff picture, travels to face the AFC-leading Denver Broncos (12-2) on Sunday.
