Veteran offensive tackle Jason Peters is listed as doubtful for the Dallas Cowboys when they visit the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
The Cowboys said Friday that Peters sustained a chest injury in practice and will undergo an MRI to determine the exact injury. The Cowboys signed the 40-year-old in early September to provide depth along the offensive line.
Since he missed training camp, the Cowboys have been bringing Peters along slowly. In his first game in Dallas, he played 14 snaps in Week 3 and 21 in Week 4. With the Rams up next, he would have been called on to try to keep Rams star Aaron Donald in check.
Peters, a nine-time Pro Bowl selection and two-time All-Pro, is in his 18th season. He previously played for the Buffalo Bills (2004-08), Philadelphia Eagles (2009-20) and Chicago Bears.
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (right thumb) was ruled out for another week as Dallas aims for a Week 6 return for the starter. Running back Tony Pollard (illness), wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (groin), tight end Jake Ferguson (knee), cornerback Jourdan Lewis (groin) and defensive tackle Quinton Bohanna (neck, shoulder) are listed as questionable.
The Rams ruled out center Brian Allen (knee), guard Coleman Shelton (ankle), cornerback Cobie Durant (hamstring) and defensive back Jordan Fuller (hamstring).
The Cowboys (3-1) visit the Eagles next week in an NFC East clash.
