Dallas Cowboys rookie pass rusher Sam Williams has been discharged from a hospital after a car accident in Plano, Texas, on Thursday afternoon.
A police spokesperson told media outlets that Williams collided with a vehicle that was attempting a turn in front of him at 2:15 p.m. local time. Williams and the other driver were both taken to a hospital for precautionary reasons.
Williams took to Twitter to say that he and the other driver are OK.

Police are investigating whether Williams’ speed played a role in the accident, which occurred not far from the Cowboys’ practice facility in nearby Frisco. Neither alcohol or drugs were believed to be factors, according to police.
The Cowboys said Williams’ status for Saturday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles will be updated when appropriate.
Williams, 23, has three sacks, seven quarterback hits, three fumble recoveries and a forced fumble in 13 games (no starts) this season. He’s also a mainstay on special teams for Dallas.
The Cowboys selected Williams in the second round of this year’s NFL draft.
