Kansas City acquired wide receiver Kadarius Toney from the New York Giants on Thursday for the Chiefs’ compensatory third-round pick and a sixth-round pick.
Both picks are in 2023.
Toney gave his approval to the trade in a Twitter post.

A first-round pick in 2021, Toney has reportedly been battling a hamstring injury all season and hasn’t played since Week 2. He has just two catches for zero yards and two rushes for 23 yards. However, Toney said in a separate tweet that he’s healthy.
“Irrelevant people don’t get updates,” Toney tweeted.
That Joke Would’ve Been Funny If I Was Actually Hurt Still Lol…..Irrelevant people don’t get updates ?????????

In 10 games (four starts) as a rookie last year, Toney caught 39 passes for 420 yards.
Toney also saw 60 percent of his snaps from the slot in 2021 and could eventually become the Chiefs’ primary slot receiver.
The Chiefs have their bye this week.
