Connecticut is the second state where road rage is causing the most problems in the US. In 2020, there were 37 drivers in fatal crashes involving road rage in the state. That’s 16 more crashes than in 2018, when there were 21. The percentage of drivers who were involved in fatal crashes caused by road rage is 7.56%.
The third most road-raged state is Indiana. Indiana has seen the highest total number of drivers crashes in the US involving road rage between 2017 and 2021 at 486. In both 2017 and 2020, there were ten drivers in fatal crashes due to road rage, and the percentage of drivers causing fatal crashes due to aggressive driving in this state is 2.09%.
A spokesperson from Simmrin Law Group commented: “Aggressive driving causes a catastrophic amount of fatal accidents in America, and with more and more catalysts such as technology, road works and environmental factors affecting a driver’s awareness, it is essential that as soon as you get behind the wheel, you remain calm and alert.
“With Americans facing higher levels of stress and anxiety due to factors such as the increase in the cost of living and dependence on timely arrivals for appointments, work and childcare, it can all lead to drivers getting into their cars and letting their anger take over instead of calmly and consciously navigating behind the wheel.”
