New lifestyle and travel-related rewards are added to Delta’s American Express cards, but the improved benefits come with increased annual fees. The bad news is that starting on February 1, 2024, applicants for Delta Amex cards will incur higher yearly fees.

Effective now, new cardholders are subject to these higher costs. In the meantime, new fees will be charged to current cardholders starting on May 1, 2024, or later, for their first renewal date.

The yearly cost of the Delta Amex Reserve Card for individuals and businesses is going up from $550 to $650.

The annual cost for the Delta Amex Gold Card, which is waived for the first 12 months, is going up from $99 to $150 for both the personal and business versions.

The yearly cost of the Delta Amex Platinum Card for individuals and businesses is rising from $250 to $350.

Improved perks and hundreds of dollars in extra statement credits are now available for the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card, Delta SkyMiles Platinum, and Delta SkyMiles Gold American Express Card credit card variations.

Use of more valuable Delta Flight Credits aboard Delta aircraft is planned.

You can redeem “Rideshare Credit” with Uber, Lyft, and additional partners.
“Resy Credit” to receive subsidized meals at select Resy eateries in the United States.

Enhanced companion certificate perks:

The Delta SkyMiles Platinum and Delta SkyMiles Reserve personal and small business credit cards come with a Companion Certificate that entitles you to invite a travel companion on a round-trip flight offered by Delta for just the cost of taxes and fees (up to $80) per cardmember anniversary. This companion certificate was previously limited to travel within the continental United States. However, it can now also be used for travel to the Caribbean, Central America, Hawaii, Alaska, and Mexico.
