Nene Leakes, the former Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) star, has found a buyer for her Georgia home; three months after the death of her husband Gregg Leakes. The Mediterranean style home was under contract on December 28, according to property records. The price has been marked down from its initial listing in September. Gregg Leakes died on September 1 in their Atlanta home, after battling colon cancer for four years.
In September, the house was listed with Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty agent Elaine Richardson for $4 million. In late October, there was a price drop to $3.8 million and a further one in mid-November to $3.495 million.
The opulent house consists of five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, all of which are tastefully decorated. The main suite has a fireplace as well as a free standing tub. It also has two vanity for his and her. The basement has a game room that has two TVs and a pool table. There is also a movie theater than can seat eight. A bar that has a club style lounge seating completes the basement.
The outer area of the house has been designed like a resort. There is a wrap around patio which is covered. A pool and a jacuzzi with fountains add to its ambience. There are lounge chairs as well as an area for private outdoor dining. The house is also situated near a country club and a golf course.
Bravo’s RHOA had lived in the Duluth house for seven years with her husband Gregg Leakes. They bought the house in 2015 for just over $2 million. She has shared her need to move on after spending years at the Atlanta home.
Nene and Gregg were married in 1997. They applied for divorce in 2011. They remarried in a Bravo special in 2013. It was called “I Dream of Nene: The Wedding.”She said that the entire family was with Gregg before he passed. He was surrounded by his family.
Nene also said that Gregg told her to be happy and that he said that whoever found her would have found “a good one.” The RHOA alum recently shared bits of a pre-Christmas date night. Her Instagram story featured boyfriend Nyonisela Sioh, who is a fashion designer.
