Trinidad Chambliss threw two touchdown passes and rushed for 112 yards, and No. 13 Ole Miss dominated on defense in a 45-10 victory over Tulane on Saturday in Oxford, Miss.

Chambliss started in place of injured Austin Simmons (ankle) for a second consecutive game and completed 17 of 27 passes for 307 yards for the Rebels (4-0).

The Ole Miss defense held the Green Wave (3-1) to 282 total yards and limited Jake Retzlaff to 5 completions on 17 attempts for 56 yards. Kewan Lacy rushed for two touchdowns and Lucas Carneiro was 3-for-3 on field-goal attempts for the Rebels.

Tulane’s first two possessions of the third quarter ended with turnovers on downs at the Ole Miss 5 and 40, and the Rebels’ 23-3 halftime lead carried into the fourth quarter.

On the first play of the fourth, Lacy ran 1 yard for a touchdown. Chambliss threw a two-point conversion pass to Harrison Wallace III for a 31-3 lead.

Brendan Sullivan replaced Retzlaff, and he was stopped for no gain on fourth and 2 from the Ole Miss 45, Tulane’s third consecutive turnover on downs.

On the next play, Chambliss threw a 53-yard completion to Dae’Quan Wright, and Logan Diggs followed with a 2-yard touchdown run. Chambliss added a 33-yard touchdown pass to Deuce Alexander, extending the lead to 45-3.

Sullivan, who finished 5 of 12 for 48 yards with an interception, threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Anthony Brown-Stephens to complete the scoring.

On the first possession of the game, Chambliss ran 41 yards to the Tulane 5, then threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Wright. Carneiro kicked a 22-yard field goal to increase the lead to 10-0 at the end of the first quarter.

Carneiro added a 54-yard field goal early in the second quarter, but Tulane answered with Patrick Durkin’s 34-yard field goal. Lacy’s 1-yard touchdown run and Carneiro’s 33-yard field goal gave the Rebels a 23-3 halftime lead after they scored on all five first-half possessions.
