Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers declared for the 2025 NFL Draft on Wednesday.

Ewers guided the Longhorns to two College Football Playoff appearances and posted a 21-5 record as a starter over the past two years.

Quarterback Arch Manning is expected to take the controls in Texas next season. He is the grandson of former NFL quarterback Archie Manning and nephew of Super Bowl-winning QBs Peyton and Eli Manning.

Ewers passed for 3,472 yards and 31 touchdowns this season and 9,128 and 68, respectively, in three years since transferring from Ohio State.

He is projected as a top-6 quarterback in April’s draft by Field Level Media

“These past three years have been some of the best years I could have imagined,” Ewers said on social media. “The relationships I’ve built between coaches and teammates will last forever. I’m truly thankful for the opportunity to play football in my home state for the best university in the world. With prayer and careful consideration, I’m officially declaring for the NFL Draft.”

Ewers is not the only Longhorn to announce his intention to enter the NFL. Wide receivers Isaiah Bond and Matthew Golden, offensive lineman Kelvin Banks Jr., and running back Jaydon Blue also declared for the draft.
