Taylen Green threw four of his career-high six touchdown passes in the first half as Arkansas controlled Alabama A&M in a 52-7 romp Saturday at Fayetteville, Arkansas.

CJ Brown grabbed two touchdown catches, while O’Mega Blake racked up 121 receiving yards and had one TD. Raylen Sharpe, Jalen Brown and Mike Washington Jr. also had touchdown receptions.

Green finished 24-for-31 for 322 yards in three quarters. He was 6-for-6 in the second half. He’s well on his way toward the 23 touchdowns he scored in 2024.

Washington led the Razorbacks’ rushing attack with 79 yards on nine carries.

It was a difficult Alabama A&M debut for coach Sam Shade in the first-ever meeting between the programs.

The Razorbacks finished with a 552-235 advantage in total yards, marking a strong start for what figures to be a critical season as coach Sam Pittman begins his sixth season. The Razorbacks had a 29-12 edge in first downs and didn’t commit a turnover.

Arkansas broke a 7-7 tie with freshman Scott Starzyk’s 53-yard field goal with 3:37 left in the first quarter. The Razorbacks led 31-7 at halftime, posting 14 points in the final 2:12.

Green threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Brown to push the margin to 24-7. Then came Green’s 6-yard toss to Blake with six seconds left in the half.

The Razorbacks scored on their first third-quarter possession, needing six plays to go 66 yards. Green, flushed from the pocket and under pressure, threw to Brown for a 14-yard score.

Maurice Edwards IV ran 6 yards for Alabama A&M’s touchdown to complete a seven-play, 75-yard drive. Quarterback Cornelious Brown IV was 9-for-19 for 130 yards.

Arkansas punted on its final three possessions after previously punting just once.
