Ohio State star running back TreVeyon Henderson is on track to return Saturday at Michigan State, Buckeyes coach Ryan Day confirmed Tuesday.
Henderson missed last Saturday’s 49-10 win against Rutgers. He was downgraded to out after pregame warm-ups and was seen leaving Ohio Stadium with his foot in a walking boot, per ESPN.
The medical staff will have the final say on whether the sophomore will take the field when No. 3 Ohio State (5-0, 2-0 Big Ten) faces the Spartans (2-3, 0-2) in East Lansing, Mich.
Henderson has rushed for 318 yards and three touchdowns in four games this season.
In 2021, he ran for 1,248 yards and 15 scores and caught 27 passes for 312 yards and four TDs in 13 contests.
