Boateng, a three-star prospect in the Class of 2019, appeared in four games in his first season with the Tigers and one in the second season as a redshirt freshman. Before the 2021 season, the Florida native transferred to the Gators program but saw no action. He was not on the 2022 roster.
Boateng, who played at Fort Lauderdale High School, had 38 offers before choosing Clemson.
