Jordan Burns, a four-star linebacker in the 2024 class, committed to Tennessee on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-1, 215-pound Burns plays at Pace Academy in Atlanta. The 247Sports composite lists him as a top-35 linebacker in the class, and his commitment comes just days after an official visit to Knoxville.
The Volunteers’ 2024 class, headlined by four-star quarterback Jake Merklinger of Calvary Day School in Savannah, Ga., now ranks 10th in the nation, per the 247Sports composite.
The Tennessee group currently is fourth in the Southeastern Conference, trailing No. 1 Georgia, No. 3 Florida and No. 6 LSU. Alabama, with just eight commits, sits at No. 21 with six months to go until Early Signing Day.
