The NBA 2K League postponed eight of the scheduled 10 Eastern Conference group-play matches for The Tipoff event on Thursday, citing “a nationwide server outage.”
Makeup dates weren’t immediately announced.

In the two matches that were completed, 76ers GC (3-2) earned a 75-59 win over Heat Check Gaming (3-2), and Celtics Crossover Gaming (3-1) posted a 71-58 victory over Magic Gaming (3-3).
Andre “Dre” Marshall paced the 76ers with 21 points and nine assists, and teammate DJ “DJ” Jones contributed 18 points and 16 rebounds. Ky “Ky” Johnson put up 24 points and six assists for the Heat.
The Celtics prevailed behind 28 points and nine assists from Leche “Leche” Jamous. Joshua “unguardable” Hunter topped the Magic with 22 points and nine assists.
The NBA 2K League 5v5 season will include three tournaments — The Tipoff, The Turn and The Ticket — that will set the field for the playoffs, scheduled for Aug. 2-5 in Washington.
Remote group play in The Tipoff will set the field for remote bracket play beginning next week. The tournament will then conclude with in-person tournament play at District E in Washington, June 14-17.
