NBA2K News: Blazer5 win NBA 2K League’s Steal Open

Blazer5 Gaming defeated Jazz Gaming 3-1 to win the NBA 2K League’s 3v3 Steal Open on Saturday in Washington.

Blazer5 won the first-place prize of $25,000.

Blazer5 took Game 1 22-9 and opened a 2-0 lead with a 21-12 win in Game 2. The Jazz rebounded, 21-11 in Game 3. But Blazer5 clinched with a 21-15 win in Game 4.

Jomar “Jomar” Varela-Escapa of Blazer5 was named tournament MVP.

Blazer5 and Jazz Gaming earned the 13th and 14th spots in the 2023 NBA 2K League 3v3 playoffs by virtue of winning their sides of the bracket.
