MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has confirmed that he is auctioning surplus equipment and subleasing vacant space after his products continue to be off the shelves of major retailers including Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond, Slumberland Furniture and other major retailers. These giant retailers dropped the founder’s pillow products after he continued to falsely claim that the elections had been stolen from former president Donald Trump, despite courts rejecting these claims. He also faces a series of lawsuits in connection with these false claims.
About 850 products have been listed on the online K-Bid website. They include industrial equipment as well as office furniture some of which are
forklifts
industrial fabric spreaders
sewing machines
desks
chairs and more.
In a phone interview with the Star Tribune on Monday, founder-CEO Mike Lindell said that it “was a massive, massive cancellation” and that MyPillow lost $100 million after its products were dropped by big box retailers as well as shopping networks.
Mike Lindell refuses to back down from his false claims despite the cancellation from shopping networks and giant retailers. He has moved to direct sales, making new commercials on television as well as marketing through radio spots, e-mail marketing and direct mailing.
The MyPillow CEO also said that they were sub-leasing manufacturing space available at Shakopee as they now need one building for their packaging which is mainly direct sales. He also said that if retailers agree to keep MyPillow products in future, they could replace the equipment that is now on auction.
Mike Lindell is also facing pending lawsuits. He has been asked to pay $5 million to a software forensics expert. The expert successfully disproved several claims made by the CEO in a contest called “Prove Mike Wrong.” The MyPillow CEO has challenged the ruling of an arbitration panel in favor of the expert, Robert Zeidman.
Mike Lindell is also facing a $1.3 billion defamation suit filed by Dominion Voting Systems. In April, Fox News Network recently settled its suit with Dominion after paying hundreds of millions in damages, as reported by us.
