Jake RoJake navigates the Los Angeles streets, passing tent cities that fill every sidewalk. As a member of the K-9 team, he converses with his dog, Ace, while driving, expressing dissatisfaction with the current status of the world. Jake is also a combat veteran with PTSD.
The K-9 officer of the LAPD and his K-9 partner, Ace, engage in a confrontation with drug traffickers on the streets of LA, resulting in Ace being fatally shot. Jake, during a crisis, attempts to have an EMT examine Ace. When the EMT declines, Jake strikes him, leading to his departure from the police force.
You will see the relationship between police officers and their canine friends on and off duty. Moments in the film, when Jake works with his dog Socks for canine K-9 training, are heartwarming up against all the other drama of the thriller chases. You are taken on the wild ride of this film.
The movie portrays the mistreatment of dogs in the drug trade business and the favorable treatment of German shepherds in the US Police force.
