CEO Elon Musk says he was given the rights to take the first production Model 3 car as a birthday present.

Here comes the  Tesla  Model 3!

The Tesla Model 3 comes in at $35k and starts production today. Pretty sleek…looks like an old-school Porsche with a facelift.

Model 3 passed all regulatory requirements for production two weeks ahead of schedule. Expecting to complete SN1 on Friday. Handover party for first 30 customer Model 3’s on the 28th! Production grows exponentially, so Aug should be 100 cars and Sept above 1500.

Model 3 is expected to cover a range of 215 miles on one charge and, most notably, sell at a sticker price of $35,000 (or $27,500 after federal electric car tax credits). Until now, Tesla has only sold luxury cars at luxury prices, beginning – on the low end – at roughly double the Model 3’s price.

This man, his vision, dreams, and company, are changing the world. I personally, would love to get behind the wheel of anything made by Tesla.
