MLS News: Toronto FC re-sign veteran M Derrick Etienne Jr.

Toronto FC re-signed veteran midfielder Derrick Etienne Jr. through the 2026 season on Wednesday.

The deal for the 29-year-old Haitian international includes options through the 2027-28 MLS season.

Etienne recorded three goals and four assists in 48 MLS matches over the past two seasons with Toronto.

He has 20 goals and 21 assists in 219 career matches (118 starts) with the New York Red Bulls (2016-19), FC Cincinnati (2019), Columbus Crew (2020-22), Atlanta United (2023-24) and Toronto.

Etienne helped NYRB win the Supporters’ Shield in 2018 and helped the Crew win the MLS Cup in 2020 and the Campeones Cup in 2021.
